No Bully Student Council

At Heritage Elementary, we take our environment and making everyone feel welcome seriously.  In an effort to make our school as positive as possible, we have a No Bully Student Council, where all elected officers serve as student ambassadors and playground leaders to role model for others what it looks and feels like to be a Heritage Eagle.  All students are welcome at our meetings, where we focus on making Heritage a positive place to be for all students.  Here is a list of all of our School Year 2018-2019 No Bully Student Council Meetings, which happen the FIRST Tuesday of every month at 3:20 pm in the media center:

Our No Bully Student Council Elections will be held on Sept. 26th.

Our No Bully Student Council Officers and Class Reps will be inducted into office at the start of our annual Career Day Assembly on October 17th at 8 am.

We will have our annual No Bully Parent Overview Meeting and Student Council Playground Leader/Student Ambassador Ceremony at 8 am on October 18th.

The No Bully Annual Peace Summit is Oct. 19th from 11 am - 1 pm at the South West Motors Events Center at the Colorado State Fairgrounds.  Join us for a community celebration of peace and good will as we highlight what anti-bullying programs we have at our school and all D-60 schools.  Heritage Elementary will sing their school song on the main stage at 11:30 am.

We will be having our Annual Canned Food Drive Nov. 4th-20th.  All donations will be distributed to needy Heritage Families and any remaining food goes to the Cooperative Care Center.

Candy grams will be sold from Dec. 16th - 18th after school.  They are $.50 and all students will receive their candy grams on Dec. 19th, the last day of school before the break.

We will be having our Annual Toy Drive Dec. 2nd-18th.  All donations will be distributed to needy Heritage Families and any remaining toys go to the Salvation Army.

We will be having our Get Ready for CMAS assembly on Thursday, April 2nd at 2:15 pm for grades 2nd-5th.

We will take our annual No Bully climate survey the month of April for grades 3rd-5th, with the date to be determined.  Information will be sent out to all parents to enable you to take the survey when the window opens.  All surveys MUST be completed prior to April 30th.  Make sure and see the office to opt your student into taking the survey if they are new to Heritage Elementary.  The information to take the survey is as follows:

1)    Parents will access through any common Internet browser from any device with access or connection to the Internet;

2)    Enter the 6-digit code Parent Access Code: 535754

3)    Complete and close the assessment (for each person, the assessment should not take longer than 3-5 minutes)
