Classes will resume on Monday, January 2, 2017 - All students should report to school by 8:15 a.m.
During inclement weather, we will post RED FLAG signs in windows so parents know it is a RED FLAG day. Instead of entering through outside classroom doors, students may enter only through the following doors DURING RED FLAG days:
Door #2 (Near Preschool on Lucas & Belmont area)
Door #4 (Near back loop by the Gym)
Door #5 (Front of building near staff parking lot)
ALL students will enter through these designated doors starting at 8:05 am. Teachers will be in their classrooms welcoming students from 8:05 to 8:15. Any student who arrives after the tardy bell @ 8:20 will need to obtain a TARDY slip from the office. Only students who arrive after the TARDY bell at 8:20 will be marked Tardy.
It is EXTREMELY important that students arrive to school NO EARLIER than 8:05 am and are picked up NO LATER than 3:35 pm Monday-Thursday and picked up by 1:55 pm on FRIDAYS.
Please be advised if students arrive on school grounds before 8:05 am, there will be no adults to watch your child.
Parents are encouraged to visit the schools. For the welfare of students and staff, all visitors must check in at the front office before visitation commences. The visits shall not interfere in any way with the school program.
Fall Fundraiser packets and money are due this Friday, November 4, 2016. Thank you for your participation! Proceeds are helping to fund a new gym floor for our very deserving Heritage students!
The first day of school is August 29, 2016. Notice the bell schedule has not changed from last year.
Monday -Thursday 8:15 a.m.-3:25 p.m. and Friday 8:15 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
Please do not drop off students before 8:05 a.m. Staff is not on duty before 8:00 a.m. Heritage wants students to be safe and supervised!
Attendance and Red Flag DaysPlease do not send your children to school earlier than 8:05 a.m. Also, make sure that children go home by 3:25 p.m. These are the times when teachers are on duty. The tardy bell rings at 8:20 a.m. Students must enter the front door and report the office to get a tardy slip. If you are running late, do not enter classrooms from the outside doors--enter through the office. We value your child's safety and instructional time with their teacher and trust you have the same values.
Students can come into the building during inclement weather and are able to come into the building from 7:55-8:15 a.m.. Students need to enter from DOOR 2 and DOOR 3. Please drop off students at these doors where teachers are on duty to supervise students. Too many parents are coming into the gym and this is creating a safety issue. The front OFFICE door will not be available for students to enter during RED FLAG days.
Please make sure to have a note from a medical doctor that states your child was seen for being ill. This will show that absences were be excused. If your child will be out for an extended period of time, please make sure to fill out the
Extended Time Form.
