School Announcements
Blue Ribbon School
    2011-2012 National Blue Ribbon School

Heritage Elementary was one of three schools in the state of Colorado recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for the 2011-2012 school year.  Congratulations Eagles!
Blue Ribbon Assembly
Mrs. Gallegos and Mrs. Goddard had a great trip to Washington, D.C. last month to recieve the "2011 BLUE RIBBON AWARD" for our school.  The Secretary of Education for the United States of America, Arne Duncan, was the key note speaker for the ceremony.  It was an indication of how special this award is for our school.  We will be having a celebration assembly on Friday, December the 2nd at 1:00.  Please feel free to join us for this celebration.
Red Flag Days
RED FLAG DAYS
Days of inclement weather that require students to come directly into the building from 7:50-8:00 instead of staying on the playground will be indicated by " red flags" being placed in the four double door areas of the building.  There will also be a "red flag" placed in the window of the room 106 for people who are on the north side of the building.
Help our School
Remember to keep collecting the following items and return them to school: Pop Tabs, Labels for Education, and Capri Suns.  Thank you :)
recylcing
We will be recylcing aluminum cans once a month every month.  The collection days will be the second Thursday of each month ONLY.  We appreciate you collecting the cans, but do not have a storage area for them.  We will take them to recycle the same day we collect them.  So, PLEASE do not bring the cans to school on any day but the collection days.  THANK YOU!

Eagle News

Heritage Elementary School incorporates a daily video news channel into our school day. Eagle news is a closed circuit television station that utilizes our telecenter technology to broadcast daily announcements, and other important happenings at our school.

Eagle News is a collaboration with the Heritage student council. Fourth and fifth grade officers and classroom representatives serve as anchors to broadcast the news. This program helps students to build confidence and become effective public speakers.
